Projects

This is a page containing all of the stuff that I've been involved in, both personal and commercial. Links are stored in the icons.
Miscellaneous projects and proofs of concept, including concept art, mock-ups and early prototypes can be viewed at the bottom of the page.

kikyou.space kikyou.space (Graphic Design & Iconography)
An online compendium made by my late friend Sanya/Pikikie for a special community. During the later stages, I helped out with preparing the icons and quite a bit of the graphics used throughout the site.
Pastel Passion Pastel Passion (April 2024)
Another wallpaper taking inspiration from classic vector art-based designs, this time using a more lively palette centered around pastel colors to really set the tone and provide a unique and colorful vibe.
IWETP I wanna Escape the Planet (Status: Almost ready!)
A non-traditional IWBTG fangame with a focus on combat rather than simple trial and error. Fight your way through six challenging worlds in this fast-paced action platformer! This is a solo project. Video demo in the image, for those interested.
Unlink 2020 Crimson Cradle (November 2023)
My second go at the Metalheart aesthetic, and one that I kinda just went with when I put a hex pattern on a canvas as the ideas just start flowing afterwards. Also based off the cover of a pretty cool song.
Ball Revamped Extended Digital Beachhead (Status: Complete!)
A short twin-stick shooter that I had developed as part of a college project, now as a standalone executable. Developed in Unity over the course of about two months. Click the image to download! (10/03/23: Resolution hotfix)
Summer Relics Summer Relics (June 2023)
When summer began, I wanted to make something based on the changing seasons; So this is my take on it using a more subtle approach, based off of Zeitmesser by Tarolabo & 140.

The Ephemeral Lotus The Ephemeral Lotus (May 2022)
My first go at the elusive Metalheart aesthetic, and one that I’m particularly happy with! The mesh in the back was done in Blender, with everything else in PS.

Emperor of the North Pole Emperor of the North Pole (Nov. 2022)
A wallpaper I designed that’s directly inspired by the 1st place winner for Solskogen 2014’s Amiga Demos Compo: “Emperor of the North Pole” by Spaceballs. Now with a mobile ver!

Unlink 2020 Unlink 2020
The second wallpaper I made for a small community far, far away. Now featuring 33 unique characters! Once again, the background is from 2kki, sprites by me.

Unlink 2019 Unlink 2019
The first wallpaper I made for a community of likeminded people in a system far, far away. The background is from Yume 2kki, and the sprites are by me.

UI Concept: Yorichat UI Concept: Yorichat
A mock-up design I had envisioned for a chat service that a friend of mine proposed a few years ago. It’s based off of 2000s-esque media and focuses on a healthy balance between style & utility, rather then putting it all on the ladder.
UI Concept: H'Nyro Mobile UI Concept: H'Nyro Mobile
A concept I prepared for a mobile version of a private RocketChat fork that my late friend Sanya/Pikikie had been working on as a passion project. They did the palette & theming, whilst I arranged the more mobile-friendly layout.
Menu Concept: orbit. Menu Concept: orbit.
This was part of another college project in which I had to design a Unity-friendly main menu, including a mock-up, as shown here.
Prototype: Runner Game Prototype: Runner Game
A concept game that I had designed as part of an assignment. This was my first bout into trying out Unity’s tiling features, as well as some Unity2D physics - as rough as they may be here.
Prototype: Destroyer - Continuum Proto: Destroyer Continuum
This is one of my first “full” Unity games; It's how I got into using scripts to prepare bullet patterns, control enemy behaviour, etc. Most of what’s here is expanded in Digital Beachhead, so this is a sort of “early build” for it.
Concept: TSUKI Project Hard-Cover Concept: TSUKI Project Compendium Hard-Cover
This was part of a planned hard-copy version of the TSUKI Project’s Compendium, although it was never released due to financial and logistical issues. However, in its place came kikyou.space.
Concept: Visual Novel Example Concept: Visual Novel Example
Here’s an experiment I did to test out how I’d visualize the main interface for a more dialogue-driven game. This one is actually a bit of an older one, I just made some additional enhancements to give it a more modern touch.
